            Cut from quarter inch oak and measuring approximately 4 inches square and 1.25 inches tall, this box has a vaguely east Indian feel. The sides are cut through and through, allowing one to catch a glimpse of what is inside. The lid is engraved and attached with small brass hinges. Recently, I made a new version that has an acrylic base and lid (which is not hinged, but fits snuggly and can be completely removed).      |
