For several weeks I had been wondering what to do with a bit of glow-in-the-dark resin I had been saving since my undergraduate days (some three plus decades ago). For no particular reason, I decided to try to etch a spiral pattern in a square acrylic rod. Achieving the proper alignment wasn't particularly easy, but the rest of the project proceeded rather smoothly. Makes for a soothing night light.
